North Texas Legends FC was founded by Richard Aguirre after coaching for years as part of a non-profit, Denton G.O.A.L, that used soccer as a catalyst to keep at-risk kids engaged in their family, school, and community. After several years, it became very clear that once these kids graduated high school, they had nowhere else to play. Many of his players, as is the case all over the U.S, began falling through the cracks, and thus NTX Legends was born.  Richard used the UPSL and MPL platform to offer ambitious and determined players a way to follow their dreams and goals. What once was only for the financially privileged, became attainable to all.
